I have read that this should not be a problem, but I am experiencing difficulties. Alcohol 120% is copying the disc to 100% completion, but before the disc drawer http://www.videoforums.co.uk/threads/7225-Alcohol-120-problem opens to put in the blank dvd, I get the message - Error message: [03/11/05] - L-EC Uncorrectable Error. Can anyone explain to me what is wrong, and is there a way to resolve this problem? ISO's Discussion in 'PS2 - DVD backup discussion' started by Bert66, Jan 3, 2006. Bert66 Guest Hi, Im having some problems creating an image file from a number of different games (battlefield 2, smash court tennis 2 http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/problems-creating-ps2-isos.415815/ and ricky ponting cricket 2005) Ive tried using DVD Decypter 3.5.4.0 and the latest alchohol 120%, http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=90949 and neither seem to able to successfully read the ps2 originals. Both programs have read errors at the same spot i.e. (battlefield 2 - 62%) I have succesfully copied a few games, but im having these problems with alot of different games. My DVD Drive is a Sony DVDR/RW DWQ28A These are the errors i get with DVD Decrypter (with battlefield 2) I/O Error! ec uncorrectable ScsiStatus 0x02 Interpretation: Check Status CBD 28 00 00 01 F8 0B 00 00 01 00 Interpretation: Read (10) - Sector 1193012 ..And this is from the log Failed to read Sector 1193012 - L-EC Uncorrectable Error Failed to read Sector 1193067 - L-EC Uncorrectable Error ...etc... The original ps2 games im trying to create images of, are in fairly good condition, with no major scratches. Please dont just point me in the direction of tutorials, because ive checked them ec uncorrectable error and they didnt help. Does anyone know why this could be hapening? Thanks Bert66, Jan 3, 2006 #1 sulaim Guest hiya! these I/O errors are ultra annoying. i had rainbow six and it used to keep getting stuck at 24%. the third time i tried copying it. it didn't give me any error. so try copying ur games many times and clean the discs. if this doesn't help , try another program like nero or sonic record now. even if this fails, try reinstalling ur drive and change its status from slave to master or the vice versa. let us know wat happened. see ya sulaim, Jan 3, 2006 #2 Bert66 Guest thanks for the reply sulain ive tried those programs too, and several times, but ive still had no luck. I also tried cleaning the discs and changing the drive status. But still no luck. amyone else have any suggestions? Battlefield 2 I've even ripped the backup copy and had others rip a copy from that copy with no problems. you can try updating your drives firmware to help it better read the disk as well. kc Last edited: Jan 3, 2006 KC36330, Jan 3, 2006 #4 TwoIIPac

So now that I am trying to back up one of my movies I can't rip it in the first place. It goes to about 50% then generates an error saying it can't read a certain sector. By the way I did check the surface, it's clear as a mirror. Here is the log file: I 22:44:57 Operation Started!
