McAfee stated that my Microsoft was corrupted. I was able to access system last night after booting in last known configuration. However, today system sits idle on the Windows 7 Enterprise screen after prompted me to hit ctrl, alt and delete several times. It prompts me for my password once but nothing happens. Has anyone experience this issue before? Please first check if you use McAfee to encrypt system drive partition. Then you can boot into clean boot mode to check if other 3rd party service blocked system. If it works in clean boot mode, you can determine which one can be the cause by using dichotomy in MSconfig. Checking on half of Non-Microsoft service and restart, determining which half of the services cause the issue and repeating to check half of the problematic half services. If it doesn’t work, you would better uninstall this 3rd party software and the check the issue. If it works fine after you uninstall it, please contact McAfee vendor for help due to we are not familiar this software. If you just want to encrypt some important files, why don’t you use BitLocker to encrypt? https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd835565(v=ws.10).aspx http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/protect-files-bitlocker-drive-encryption#1TC=windows-7 Hope that can help you.
