"users" table has a int UserID primary key field. It also has a "Username" field which is taken from the "UserName" field of the aspnet_users membership table. I'd like to link the aspnet_users table to the DNN users table via the "UserName" fields. Here's what I've tried: 1) Delete the Username fields from both entities in the EDM (same error with and without this step) 2) Change UserID to Username & UserName in the entity framework error 11007 entity type is not mapped AssociationSetMapping (XML... not able to do in UI)

They could very easily fix the designer to make this process simple; but instead, we have to put up with this crap. To fix: Click on the association, and go to the mapping details view. Under association, click on Maps to

I then have a function entity framework error import that uses a stored procedure. The method created by the function import is supposed to return a collection of the custom entity I created. The problem is that I get an error when I build that says "The entity type 'someentity' is not mapped. What does this mean? Is it upset because the entity does not have an underlying data store? It doesn't need one, the function import returns instances of this entity and I have no need to update, edit, or insert entities of this type. The function import works great and returns a collection of my entity as desired, but this error is annoying. Though the error list lists it as a compile error, it does not actually stop the solution from compiling. Any help is appreciated. Tag: Entity Framework Coding, Troubleshooting Manually Creating Referential Constraints in Entity Framework4 Posted on January 18, 2012January 18, 2012 by Jim Counts This entry explains something that's confused me for a long time. To prevent myself from forgetting, I'm writing it all down. I'm working with a legacy database that does not always model everything perfectly. As usual with databases, I have to make the painful decision to either workaround the model, or refactor the database. In particular, there are many foreign key candidates that are not
