I am stumped. All the services seem to be running. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 11:47 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi, Have you tried running sfc /scannow at an admin command prompt? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling RD Session Host Role Service? Do you have service pack 1 and all critical windows updates applied to your server? The error you are seeing is not normal and may indicate that something with your install is corrupt. Was this server installed from scratch or did you do an in-place upgrade? Are there any third-party software programs that may be interfering like antimalware/security/etc? -TP Marked as answer by Clarence ZhangModerator Monday, June 24, 2013 6:47 AM Wednesday, June 12, 2013 6:38 PM Reply | Quote Moderator Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Technet Web site. They've asked me to install upgrade an application they have running on the box. Whenever I click Autorun on the CD, I get the following message box. "Failed to switch Terminal Server to install mode. Please switch the mode https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22987412/Failed-to-switch-Terminal-Server-to-INSTALL-mode.html manually. To switch the mode, run "change user/install" from the command line." Ok, so I go to the command line, run the command and get this message. "Install mode does not apply to a Terminal server configured for remote administration." I really dont know what to check for. Can someone please help me? I really dont want to travel to the location to install this software if I can do it remotely. 0 Question by:DFCRJ Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 31 Best Solution byCláudio Rodrigues Well in this case, are you sure you have Windows Server 2003 Standard or up?
