The printers currently installed from that server are grayed out and when I try https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28142178/Adding-network-printer-operation-failed-0x00000002.html to add a new printer, I receive the error: operation failed 0x00000002. I'm guessing this may be driver related, but I've removed all erroneous drivers. I've also restarted the print spooler and rebooted the server. No luck. Need urgent help. 0 Question by:lenivan Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 5 Best Solution bybalmasri Did you read : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2793718 http://www.eversity.nl/blog/2012/09/windows-cannot-connect-to-the-printer-operation-failed-with-error-0x00000002/ Go to Solution 4 Comments LVL 23 Overall: Level 23 Windows 7 8 Printers and Scanners 3 Windows Server 2008 2 Message Expert Comment by:tailoreddigital2013-05-29 Here are 2 threads that look promising, http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f138/adding-network-printer-to-windows-7-a-452164.html http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/cannot-connect-to-my-printer-operation-failed-with/d0bf6f14-0f45-4f51-af50-706cf10c92a3 0 LVL 5 Overall: Level 5 Windows Server 2008 3 Windows 7 1 Printers and Scanners 1 Message Accepted Solution by:balmasri2013-05-29 Did you read : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2793718 http://www.eversity.nl/blog/2012/09/windows-cannot-connect-to-the-printer-operation-failed-with-error-0x00000002/ 0 Message Author Closing Comment by:lenivan2013-05-29 The second link explained the issue in detail and resolved it! Printer Error 0x00000002 - Windows Cannot Connect to Printer Started by Jon Wong , error 0x00000002 12 October 2012 - 05:29 PM Login to Reply 3 replies to this topic Jon Wong Members #1 Jon Wong 19 posts Posted 12 October 2012 - 05:29 PM Hey guys,I wanted to get a discussion going on an error I've seen crop up in three different builds I've done pertaining to Session Printers in XenApp 6.0/6.5. Two of these builds are using confirmed operation failed with a single RDS/Citrix compatible driver only.Typically users will complain about not seeing their printers on what turns out to be isolated to a single server; looking at the event logs the Citrix Print Manager Service fails connecting to the network printer. I'll log onto the server affected and browse to the print server \\printserver, look up the printer they have an issue with, right click it and select "Connect" and the attached error will come up.If you try it on a another server in the farm that is working, the printer will connect. Now sometimes, and I do stress sometimes I restart the Citrix Print Manager Service and it goes back to normal. Other times I need to restart the Print Spooler as well. Other times I need to reboot the server entirely.I wanted to see if anyone else has come across this and who/what ended up resolving this issue. I've opened tickets with Microsoft, Citrix and even HP (as one client was HP heavy) and the cross finger pointing game starts.Has anyone else seen this? Overcome this? I'd like to hear from you.Thanks,PS. The current build I'm working on had this h
