VSeWSS tried to deploy, it retracted the solution (thus removed the reference assemblies from the GAC) but something went bad, but it never saved anywhere that the solution was retracted but an error occured. You attempt a new deploy, the reflection code in VSeWSS attempts to load the CopyToLocal assemblies in the GAC, they dont exist. LoaderException is thrown. if you open the GAC, you sometimes SEE the assembly there! IT'S A TRAP :) if you F5 the GAC the assembly will be properly gone. In case this is what happens, the solution is: Manually Add the Co
the following VSeWSS Service Error: Error loading assembly (dll location)VSeWSS Service Logging Error: Access to the path 'C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Application Data\Microsoft\VSeWSS 1.3' is denied.Logging failed attempting to write to C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Application Data\Microsoft\VSeWSS 1.3\VSeWSS1.3 service.log. This may occur because the VSeWSS WCF Service does not have local administrator permissions. Please review the release notes. I tried to change the property of the particular folder(C:\Document and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2055655/vsewss-service-error-loaderexception Settings\...) to uncheck the read only. But I cant uncheck it. Find I found the error is really resides in the application pool. I followed the steps 1. Go the INet Manager 2. Go the Application Pool Where VSeWSS Service resided and right click that open the property page. 3. Change the UserName http://moss2007-10.blogspot.com/2012/03/vsewss-service-error.html and Password. Now the Visual Studio Working Fine...... moreinformation. Filed under: VseWss 1.3 March CTP -- sandeep nakarmi @ 10:11 AM I was working on VseWSS 1.3 March CTP version https://sandeepnakarmi.wordpress.com/2009/09/13/vsewss-service-error-unable-to-load-one-or-more-of-the-requested-types-retrieve-the-loaderexceptions-property-for-more-information/ and i was trying to add the Enterprise logging ability in sharepoint web parts. Since in VseWSS 1.3 has the feature that the referenced assemblies are also included https://forum.dhtmlx.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=29758 in package and are installed in GAC, i opted with this version, other wise i was working with version 1.2. So in order to add the logging feature, error 1 i just created a new sharepoint web part project and referenced the following enterprise library references in the project. Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging.dll Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Common.dll Microsoft.Practices.ObjectBuilder2.dll Having created a simple hello world webpart, i tried to deploy the project. But just then, this error occurred. Error 1 VSeWSS Service Error: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions error 1 vsewss property for more information. Log file written to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VSeWSS 1.3\VSeWSS1.3 service.log After searching a bit on the web, i was very disappointed that this is yet another problem in version VseWSS 1.3. The only solution for this was to add the assemblies to GAC manually, clean the project and perform iisreset. Then only it worked. May be the post build script solution suggested in the link above.😦 Like this:Like Loading... Related Comments (10) 10 Comments » It's not working. Often the problem arises when you have interfaces and implementation in separate assemblies. Good luck.
