Hi, Fantastic site. I am trying to fix an iphone 3, that was given to me not working. It only shows the apple sign when i plugged into the computer. It changes logo in dfu mode, itunes recognizes that it needs restoring , but during the installation i get error 1611. Apple support site suggests that this might be a hardware problem, iphone restore error but no further clues there. I have read some people have had this error as a software problem, but no luck so far. Tried on different computers using a new usb connector........Id love some help. Thanks Alistair Answered!
