Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Facebook Share on LinkedIn Guys, some of my native apps crashed for unknown reasons, so I was forced to restore my iPhone 4 to iOS 4.3.5 to fix it. However, when I try to downgrade iOS 4.3.5 back to iOS 4.3.3 using my saved iOS 4.3.3 SHSH blobs I always end up with iTunes error 1013. I have tried to downgrade multiple times but I always get the same error. Any solution available to fix iTunes error 1013?Asked by: Emil from Mobile, Alabama Hello Emil, this error normally occurs when users are trying to downgrade and restore a damaged firmware file (IPSW) or it has something to do with the baseband compatibility and unrecognized IMEI. Anyway, to fix this error, you will need to use Semaphore’s standalone TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery). This tool is capable to force kick your iPhone (iPad and iPod Touch) out of endless recovery mode in just a snap. Just simply follow the step by step guide posted below to fix iTunes 1013 error:Step 1: First, you will need to download TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) for your Mac or Windows.Step 2: Download Zlib1.dll from here and place it in the same location where fixrecovery43.exe is located.Step 3: Then connect your iPhone 4 into the computer via USB cable and power OFF your device.Step 4: Launch iTunes, downloaded fixrecovery43.exe and put your iPhone into DFU mode.Press and hold the Power and Home button for 10 seconds. Then release Power button after 10 seconds but continue holding the Home button for another 10 seconds.Step 5: Now, Tiny Umbrella (Fix Recovery) will automatically detect your iPhone in DFU mode and it will immediately act to fix the error. After yo

It was probably the first software update she did since she got her iPhone 4, months ago. Because she doesn't need http://jaxov.com/wiki/bypass-error-1013-on-iphone-4-when-downgrading-ios-4-3-5-to-4-3-3/ or even care about a jailbreak, her iPhone is clean. No jailbreak. I was watching South Park when I heard her voice from upstairs: "honey, I have a problem, it's saying something about error 1013". Damn you, iPhone, for disturbing me while watching disturbing TV shows! I had had this error 1013 before so I was confident it would be a one-minute fix… As expected, iTunes was throwing the following error message: The iPhone "Tina's iPhone" could not be updated. http://www.idownloadblog.com/2011/03/12/fix-iphone-error-1013/ An unknown error occurred (1013). Just to make sure, I go through the restore process one more time, which takes 5-10 minutes and end up with the same error message. Next step was downloading iReb, which didn't do anything. Next step was downloading TinyUmbrealla, which didn't do anything either. Without anymore ideas, I decided to Google the error, which took me to this thread on Apple's forums. After following the simple instructions detailed below, I was able to finally restore Tina's iPhone. On Mac: Open Finder Hold down COMMAND + SHIFT keys and press ‘G' Enter "/private/etc/" in the field and press "Go" Find "hosts" file in the directory Drag the file to your desktop Open it in a text editor Remove the line that has gs.apple.com entirely or put a # at the beginning of it to comment it out Save the file Drag it back to the /private/etc/ folder. On Windows: Locate the hosts file in one of the following directories: Windows 95/98/Me c:\windows\hosts Windows NT/2000/XP Pro c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Windows XP, Vista, 7 c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Right click and click on "Open With…" and then click on "Notepad" on the list. Remove the line that has gs.apple.com completely and save the file. This whole operation took me a good 30 minutes, but most importantly, I missed one of my favorite South Park episodes, the one with the Dog Whisperer. But, the best part of it was that I became the
