Solution #1 I figured out *my* problem. Not sure if yours is the same. The setup.exe that I was trying to execute could not deal with the M65 screen resolution. I tried the Windows "Campatibility Mode" (not sure the real name) utility and the setup.exe program complaned about the resolution and switched to 800x600 (that was painfull). I'm guessing that 1024x768 would have worked, too. I did run it on another system at 1600x1200. Anyway, my problen is solved! Solution #2 I got it to work. I right clicked the file and clicked Run as... and chose to run as the Administrator._________________I sy

It says "ASPI manager loading failed".:noooo: Is this happening because I am missing a certain driver or something or do I have an incompatible CD/DVD RW drive...?? Stumped on this. I tried installing it twice and it still says it. The CD/DVD Gen 2.00 program opens fine. I have put in all my files etc but when it goes to save the .iml and .ims temporary http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=121213&sid=006dc2a3dfe60b03952462d6ace3201e files I get the above mentioned error. That's when it opens the Recording unit controller program right? What the heck is this? 32-bit ASPI Manager ASPI32 for Windows must be active. In Windows 2000/XP, you will need to install the Manager. Is this my problem http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/cd-dvd-gen-2-00-error-message-about-aspi.8142/ and if so any ideas where I get it? dickibow, Jan 7, 2006 #2 Sally Guest you need waspi.dll. You can get the .dll file off Nero,if you are running WindowsXP.The link to get the ASPI driver is at http://www.Nero.com in the support section under ASPI drivers. After you download the wnaspi32.dll.You have to place the .dll file in your Cd/Dvd Rom Gen folder. EDIT: Even then i can't get it to spit out a working iso file... :crying: Last edited by a moderator: Jan 7, 2006 Sally, Jan 7, 2006 #3 dickibow Intrepid Member Joined: Feb 25, 2005 Messages: 622 Likes Received: 0 Yep - good old goolgle showed me the way. Just need one more dll. What an arse to install! batch files and all sorts!!! I'll let you know if I can get it to work.... dickibow, Jan 7, 2006 #4 dickibow Intrepid Member Joined: Feb 25, 2005 Messages: 622 Likes Received: 0 Well, ASPI is installed ok BUT... When i go to open the recording controller thing now it says "The recording unit is not connected. initialization failed" Is my CD-ROM burner incompatible. I just thought in this day and age pretty much any would work with it..... It's not in the list of "approved burners......" :-( dickibow, Jan 7, 2006 #5 dickibow Intrepid Member Joi

It has setup.lid error 105 a DVR-107D DVD rewriter in it. Strangely enough I remembered seeing DVR-107D somewhere else before. Eventually I found the 5ony cd/dvd-rom generator which said in the readme that the DVR-107D is supported by it. Not that I have particular expertise in the PS2 area, but I was wondering that if I were to buy some of the DVD media mentioned in the readme would I be able to burn a ps2 game with the software and play it without a hard/soft mod? I'm not exactly desperate to play backed up PS2 games or anything (seeing as I already have a soft-modded ps2) but I'm just kind of curious. I have already burned a game with the software onto some random dvd-r I had laying around just to see if the software would burn to a disc using my drive, and the software can burn it. Seem's that other people cannot do this because their drive isn't in the readme as being supported. Here's the readme for reference: [SCEE CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENT] PlayStation 2 CD/DVD-Rom Generator 2.0 Copyright (C) 2004 by Sony Computer Entertainment

The .mds file is basically only needed for the DVD9 games for the dual layer break. So once your rebuild the game to a DVD5 it is really no longer needed. smokyrain, Aug 21, 2009 #1381 Pappets Member Joined: Aug 20, 2009 Messages: 2 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 One more thing: I have 2 ps2 CD games in BIN + CUE format which i want to put the both into 1 DVD with 2 more ps2 DVD games.
