Exchange Enterprise Servers b. Exchange Services c. Exchange Domain Servers iF these groups not found then system can't be start. so configure Sever correctly after configuration, you can check other issues like edb file corrupted, damage or virus effected. The serve is connected with only one win2000 client through 10/100 switch. When I tried to send an internal e-mail to the same recipient it takes forever to be received .I guess, somehow the e-mails accumulate in the IIS/exchange queue folder or the exchange pre-submission queue. So I decide to stop and restart the SMTP service, but I got this message " could not stop the simple mail transport protocol service on local computer" error 1053.. I also have another win2000 AD w/Exchange in a test box environment that has the same issue like the first one but it allows me to restart SMTP service which kicks in the e-mail internally and externally. So, I am guessing the Exchange server is being spamed due to blacklisted . I stopped the SMTP services by issuing Net stop smtpsvc command from the command prompt, then I deleted the content of both folders. I noticed that after clearing badmail folder from its content, and restarting SMTP the folder get full again with NDR eventhough after disabling notification to the sender and putting the server offline.
