"Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion." SBS 2003 Standard Exchange error 1053 apple mobile device won't start 2003 2 x 3.0Ghz 4 Gig RAM Did an update yesterday and when the system rebooted Exchange Information Store service would not start. I am assuming that because it was working before the update http://exchange-server-guide.blogspot.com/2014/08/resolve-exchange-store-error-1053.html that the update is the cause of the problem. The update that I believe could be the problem is: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 - Device Update 4.0 Has anyone heard of this? I have been searching for relevant information but with no success. Hoping someone might be able to help me out! When it came to exchange (ex 2003 sp2) the Information Store service would not start. We tried everything. disabling AV, using blank db. Currently we have it set to a blank DB. when you try to start the service it says: TextCould not start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store Service on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. Bear in mind that this error appears almost instantly after clicking start. (Server is SBS 2003) Please help? Thanks in advanced.
