Posted on 2010-01-27 Remote Access MS Server OS 1 Verified Solution 4 Comments 2,102 Views Last Modified: 2013-11-30 Not really looking for a replacement for GenControl, we can easilly use https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/886695 Remote Assistance. But it would be nice to find out why we keep getting this: Error___________________________________________________ . Error: Removing old directory : 145 : The directory is not empty. . [ OK ] ________________________________________________________ What directory do they mean? When I try to reconnect to the computer it says the files still exists. What files? Do I really need to delete them? If you can get remote access to the machine's C$ share you can rename the folder (ie. VNCTEMP.old) and reconnect. This will help you pinpoint the error shown. Cláudio Rodrigues Citrix CTP 0 Message Author Comment by:johngerity2010-01-28 I'll have to test this on a "remote computer" that is right in front of me, or maybe use RDP 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1 MS Server OS 1 Remote Access 1 Message Accepted Solution by:dwren-me2010-06-18 The file in question is VNCHooks.dll in the C:\VNCTEMP folder. I have two files: RCL.tar and retroclient_7.6.100-2_i386.deb I can successfully do a "dpkg -i retroclient_7.6.100-2_i386.deb", but I'm not sure where to go from there. What do I do next? How does the RCL.tar come into play? I think you can run sudo /etc/init.d/rcl start to kick it off again, it should return 'Retrospect Client 7.6.? has started' or something. If you have already tried to install over the top of the original application, then you may have broken the config.
