MySQL typically writes something to the Application log. In very rare cases it does not write anything (I'm only aware of one particular bug http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=56821, where services did not work at all). There is also error log file, normally named .err in the data directory that has the same info as written to windows error log. share|improve this answer answered Feb 7 '11 at 19:39 Vladislav Vaintroub 3,1781119 add a comment| up vote 14 down vote You need to: stop the MySQL service: Open mysql path\data Remove both ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1. Restart the service share|improve this answer edited Mar 13 '14 at 20:11 Lucas Zamboulis 2,24151725 answered Mar 13 '14 at 19:47 mohsen.rmz 14112

server on MySQL Posted by Manejando datos in MySQL As I already wrote here, a week later after reporting this bug (because I change the datadir property on the config file my.ini) I didn't have http://www.manejandodatos.es/2015/03/solution-to-error-1067-cant-start-the-server-on-mysql/ a solution for error 1067 Can't Start service on MySQL 5.6.10. Now, you can read how I solve it!! How the error 1067 araise If you would like to raise the error, jsut install a http://superuser.com/questions/852677/mysql-server-error-1067-in-services-msc-and-error-10061-in-mysqld-console MySQL 5.6.10 server, and modify the path where data is saved on the config file. Easy!! Error 1067 can't start the service Trying in a new machine A pesar del error, uno siempre piensa que error 1067 puede ser problema de la máquina. así que …. ¿que tal probar en alguna máquina sin ningún servidor MySQL instalado previamente? ¿No podrá fallar, no? How I solve Error 1067 Can't start the service The clue for solving the error was given by [12 Mar 12:26] Sveta Smirnova! Have you tried to start the server directly with no service? It was strange, because I was receiving the message that I was modifying the incorrect file, but … it can't be!! I checked several times!!! Starting MySQL directly So, after using the right command, the server started, but when creating the servcice, the server raise the error. So, the problem was due to the creation of the service! Let verify the server can be access corectly if it is started win no service, using HeidiSQL: Using MySQL Let stop the server with the command: mysqladmin -u root shutdown. To sum up the problem: whith the .msi installer I get MySQL registered as a service, but unable to start (error 1067); with a manual install I get the service running but the console gives back a 10061 error when checking for server functionality. My question here is if anyone has familiarity with this kind of problem in Windows 8.1 and can hint to a solution or at least figure out which may be the problem. This is a much more detailed explanations of the same facts: I encountered a problem with the configuration of the MysQL server, the server has installed and it is running in the Windows services, but the installation prompt stops at the "Starting Server" step of configuration. The log reads: "Stop servce. OK. Set service. OK. Set firewall. OK. Start service ..." then it just stops there giving messages that signals that too much time is passing. If I try to manually start the service from services.msc I get a 1067 error (process terminated unexpectedly). If I interrupt the configuration and try to proceed with the wizard I get a page wich list the MySQL server as installed but stopped and I can't establish a connection with the password I set up. I may try to change the default port, but the configuration log says that nothing is wrong with the firewall. I tryed to do all of this from the Administrator account and the behavior is the same. Then I tried to install the server manually from the Administrator account and eventually got a running service, but this is what I get: ..\bin>mysql --install MySQL56 --local-service (and subsequen
