For past several days, http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?/topic/10236-installing-ad-aware-2007/ when attempting to start up my version od Ad-Aware 2007 (which worked quite well prior to the first error code being received), I now get an error code box: "System error:1810 has occurred. Description: Service not online. Application terminates". Is this a "me" problem or a LavaSoft server problem? Thanks for any responses in advance. Have tried all the fixes recommended on the forum, with no success. When I went to the - run - services.misc -- and right clicked on the Lavcasoft program, the only active button was "start". The "stop" was not active. When I tried the "start" button I received the message "Could not start the AdAware 2007 Service service on local computer. Error 1067: the service terminated unexpectedly" Any further fix suggestions???? I searched the FAQ forums for this error code, and found instructions error 1067 to manually start the Ad-Aware service on my computer. I followed the instructions to start the service, and then received: "Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly." In addition to this problem (I'm not sure whether the problem is related or unrelated), Ad-Aware is located in my task bar and indicates "Scheduled scan in process." I have tried right-clicking on the icon and then left clicking on error 1067 the "Abort scheduled scan," but nothing happens, and the scan does not show up in the Task Manager as a current application. Ad-Aware 2007 used to work just fine; within the last few weeks, it has started misbehaving as described. I cannot track the misbehavior to any specific file download or change to the computer. I have run Spybot and have kept my AVG virus definitions current and run AVG anti-virus daily. A trojan was detected and removed within the last month, but the computer has been clean since then. I am running Windows XP. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
