It all happened since a recent server crash. I'm using Xenapp Fundamentals version 6 on Server 2008 R2. The Xenapp server is running as a Xenserver virtual machine. I'm getting the Windows error 1067 and tried the following after the server crash:- Attempted to manually start: it starts, but stops immediately- Attmepted to upgrade to the latest license server (version 11.9), successfully upgraded but service still not starting- Attempted to remove license server and re-install, but getting an windows installer error- Reviewed the installer logs:Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. were no licenses available. Naturally the first thing we did was to connect to the license server and sure enough the Citrix licensing service had stopped. Attempting https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/287722-citrix-licensing-service-wont-start/ to start it prompted the following error: “Error 1067 the process terminated unexpectedly” The event logs just showed that lmadmin.exe was crashing when it was started. Having come across similar issues before I moved out all of the .lic files from MyFiles (except the startup license); this produced the same error. This ruled out http://www.riverlite.co.uk/blog/citrix-licensing-service-will-not-start-error-1067 corrupt license files. After some further digging I tried renaming “activations_state.xml” and “concurrent_state.xml”, as shown below: The Citrix Licensing service then started. Checking the license usage within Desktop Studio and the Licensing Admin console also showed the correct figures. Update: A Citrix SE has mentioned that this bug is being worked on by the engineering time at Citrix currently: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX129747 Topics: Blog About The Author Simon Barnes Subscribe to Email Updates Subscribe to RSS feeds 21st October 2016 What impact might it have on the running of your business and the systems you have in place? This will take maybe 2 or 3 minutes tops. 0 Message Author Comment by:BlakeISS2013-04-15 So I have tried uninstalling the CTX_Licensing module and it is hanging with no results. Process appears to not be responding. 0 LVL 36 Overall: Level 36 Citrix 34 Message Active today Expert Comment by:Carl Webster2013-04-15 Me personally, that is when I would start Sysinternals Process Monitor (ProcMon) and see what the hangup is. Probably a permissions issue somewhere. 0 LVL 24 Overall
