Two things : first, check the logs level, it's likely that it's too heavy (DEBG ?) second, you can increase the timeout in the wrapper configur

yesterday, when I tried to add a new entry. I was getting the following message: #!RESULT ERROR #!CONNECTION ldap://ipajm-06:10389 http://osdir.com/ml/users-directory-apache/2010-06/msg00029.html #!DATE 2010-06-15T15:21:30.578 #!ERROR [LDAP: error code 68 - ENTRY_ALREADY_EXISTS: failed for Add Request : ClientEntry dn: 2.5.4.3=fulano de tal,2.5.4.11=people,2.5.4.10=ipajm objectclass: top objectclass: person objectclass: organizationalPerson objectclass: inetOrgPerson http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?t=2845 sn: de tal ou: SCO cn: Fulano de Tal telephonenumber: 12345678 title: Auxiliar Técnico Previdenciário givenname: fulano mail: fulano@xxxxxxxxxx : cn=Fulano de Tal,ou=people,o=ipajm already exists!] However, error 1067 this entry wasn't duplicated because I'd just deleted it. So, I openned the "services.msc" console and restared the service apacheds-default, but the service didn't restart, with the following message: "Could not start the Apache Directory Server - default service on local computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly." Since that, I can't start the error 1067 the service anymore. I had the version 1.5.4 of apacheds and then I updated to version 1.5.7, but the problem persists. I suspect this is a problem with an installed Windows Update but the last installed update was on 17/04/2010, and apache was working until yesterday. Do you have any idea about this problem? Tks, Fabiano Louzada. Thread at a glance: Previous Message by Date: Upgrading to Apache 1.5.7 Hi We are upgrading to Apache 1.5.7 from Apache 1.5.4. We have some approval issues for certain packages they are: 1. bouncy castle : bcprov-jdk15-140.jar Is it okay to use bouncy castle 1.34 instead of 140? We have approval for bcprov-jdk15-134 but not for bcprov-jdk15-140.jar. I replaced it with bcprov-jdk15-134 and changed the code (javax.security.auth.x500.X500Principal.TlsKeyGenerator.java) :- certGen.generate( privateKey, "BC" ) to certGen.generateX509Certificate( privateKey, "BC" ); Hope this is ok? Could you please let me know how to test this? I mean a test case to test this feature? 2. Jetty: jetty-6.1.14.jar and

When such a brutal shutdown occuring, Apache considers sometimes, it s a wrong shutdown of the server. Then, it refuses to start the next time considering there has been a wrong shut down. Then I m constrain to manually re-start Apache. Is it possible de bypass this error and force Apache to start anyways? Which version of apache do you use? From the apache docs Quote: Code: Error 1067; The process terminated unexpectedly. You will get this generic error if there is any problem with starting the Apache service. In order to see what is really causing the problem you should follow the instructions for Running Apache for Windows from the Command Prompt. There is some support for Apache on Windows 9x to behave in a similar manner as a service on Windows NT. It is highly experimental. It is not of production-class reliability, and its future is not guaranteed. It can be mostly regarded as a risky thing
