My PC is Windows 7 x64, Enterprise edition. MySQL installs fine, but when I run the "MySQL

Instance Configuration Wizard", it pauses forever on the step "Start Service" (I can let it run for 30 minutes with no response). If I go into services, I see that the "MySQL" service hasn't started, and if I try to start it, it says "Windows could not start MySQL Service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly." I've tried the following: Turning off firewall. Uninstalling all antivirus software. Installing / reinstalling 32-bit version of MySQL. Installing / reinstalling 64-bit version of MySQL. Uninstalling, deleting the contents of "C:\program files\MySQL" and "C:\program files (x86)\MySQL", reinstalling. Checking to see that there is no rogue services named MySQL???? (from a previous install). Checking that port 3306 is not used by an alternate program. Changing the default port that MySQL uses. Checking for "my.ini" and "my.ini.cnf" in "C:\windows" (nothing there but that can cause a problem). Running both MySQL installer, and configuration wizard, in "Adminstrator mode". Turning off UAC. Installing with defaults, not changing anything. Rebooting my machine (about 6 reboots so far). Opening up port 3306 in the firewall (both TCP and UDP, inbound and outbound). Try to close other programs that might be using your webcams or install software that allows multiple applications to share a webcam." As far as I know, no other program is trying to access the cams. https://www.ivideon.com/q2a/898/windows-7-error-1067-process-terminated-unexpectedly commented Nov 25, 2013 by anonymous flag reply I guess I don't quite understand what you mean by broadcasting. The only difference between a service and an application is that a service can run even when no user is logged on. Is that what you need? Some applications (like Skype) hold the videostream even when they are running in the background. There are some free programs that allow solving this problem. You can add one camera to them and they will create several copies of the camera in the system. It will be possible to use these copies in different programs simultaneously. ManyCam application is one of such free programs. How to use Ivideon Server and Skype: 1) Close Skype and Ivideon Server. 2) Download and install ManyCam (ManyCam.com) 3) Add your real webcam to ManyCam. 4) In Skype and in Ivideon Server set up the use of the virtual camera (not the real camera). Now both Ivideon Server and Skype can work with your camera simultaneously. commented Nov 26, 2013 by Alexey Reutov (1,050 points) flag reply Please log in or register to add a comment. I initially installed WAMP and everything worked fine. I restarted my computer and MySQL server hasn't worked since.
