Windows Error 1067 The Process Terminated Unexpectedly
AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi, At first, you need to look into the Services.msc to get the description of this service “Request Manager Service”. It will let you know the function of this service. Note: Please paste the description here and let me know the installed server role and application. Then you need to enter the following command in the Windows PowerShell: Get-Service | Where-Object {$_.displayname –like “Request Manager Service”} And you could manually start the server in the Windows PowerShell: Start-Service -DisplayName “Request Manager Service” -Verbose Then post back the output result here to get further analysis. With absolutely no useful information, it's highly unlikely we'll be able to help. Use the debugger. or do some logging to a text file or the debug window to try and see what's happening. –Ken White Mar 9 '15 at 13:24 Visual Studio allows to attach a procces for debugging only when service is running. I am not able to reach that stage. Is there any way i can print logs to event logs –Prannoy Mittal Mar 10 '15 at 9:41 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer? difficult at the best of times. Fortunately, this week I've had the time to take a look at this and see if I can sort the issue. Could not start the MySQL service. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly. From looking at http://www.soulfire.co.uk/blog/?p=48 all of the various ‘solutions' out there, it doesn't actually seem that any of them are correct. http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic123137-110-1.aspx Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there is one somewhere but I didn't manage to find it past page two of Google so I thought I would give it a go myself. Just to save you some time, the following doesn't work despite what a lot of people will have you believe (and if they do, then you have been lucky): Removing the service and reinstalling; Removing error 1067 and recreating the log files; Repairing the install; Recreating your MySQL instance; Now the reason that it happened on my server was due to an upgrade from MySQL 5.1.x to 5.5.x a few months ago. I thought that I had done the usual routine correctly of taking backups, downing the service, uninstalling, reinstalling and then restoring. Job done I thought. This has never been a problem on any other server that I've done this and so I wasn't expecting this. All it meant was error 1067 windows that from time to time, the service wouldn't start after a Windows reboot. Not really a big deal but any down time at all is a big no no. So, in essence you will actually need to do most of your preparation that you would normally do for an upgrade. You might as well download the latest version of MySQL while you do this so firstly go and grab that. Next, do your normal backup of your databases and also your my.ini from wherever you normally keep it. Stop your MySQL service and then uninstall your MySQL installation. Go to your ProgramData folder and remove your MySQL folder, and do the same in your Program Files\MySQL folder (remove your server folder just in case you have your tools or workbench installed in there). Now go to your Users folder and have a look through there and it will normally be hidden in your Default\AppData folder. Launch regedit and search for ‘mysql' and remove any instance of it that is related to your server install. Restart your server now. When your server comes back on, run your nice new installer, giving it the same settings that you had before. Set a new instance up (it can be the same service name if you like) and then it will go off and set your my.ini, your service and your security settings. Your service should now be running straight away. Just to check it though, stop the service and start it again. You shoul

I would check your event log to see if there is further information there, and also in the SQL log. Also, try starting the SQL Agent service from the command prompt with the -v switch to display the output to the diag screen.http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/coprompt/cp_sqlagent_8s32.asp A.J.DBA with an attitude Post #124027 Manish MakwanaManish Makwana Posted Thursday, July 1, 2004 11:17 PM SSC-Addicted Group: General Forum Members Last Login: Monday, October 21, 2013 8:39 AM Points: 433, Visits: 168 Thanks for the help.I tried starting service through command prompt with follwing command.net start SQLServerAgent -vThe output displayed was the same error.-----------------------------------------------------------The SQLSERVERAGENT service is starting. The SQLSERVERAGENT service could not be started.A system error has occurred.System error 1067 has occurred. The process terminated unexpectedly.---------------------------------------------------------------I have checked eventlog it shows -The SQLSERVERAGENT service terminated unexpectedly.
