Did you find how to solve it? –tviana Jul 21 '14 at 11:11 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote Go to the Program Files\ApacheDS\instances\default\conf and modify the log4j.properties Change all FATAL log level to the DEBUG and restart the service. You can find what is the main reason of problem in new log files that are produced in the Program Files\ApacheDS\instances\default\log For example I have this problem after change the log level, I found the main error is ERR_250_ENTRY_ALREADY_EXISTS ou=system already exists! And this is an open issue in the ApacheDS https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1954 Hope this help you! share|improve this answer answered Dec 16 '14 at 7:01 Mohamad Kouhi Moghadam 10918 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Might it be, that you have selected javas /bin folder during installation as Java root directory? If so, set it one level higher, as /bin is not the root directory. share|improve this answer answered Nov 5 '13 at 23:29 user2958410 1 add a comment| up vot

MySQL typically writes something to the Application log. In very rare cases it does not write anything (I'm only aware of one particular bug http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=56821, where services did not work at all). There is also error log file, normally named .err in the data directory that has the same info as written to windows error log. share|improve this answer answered Feb 7 '11 at 19:39 Vladislav Vaintroub 3,1981119 add a comment| up vote 14 down vote You need to: stop the MySQL service: Open mysql path\data Remove both ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1. Restart the service share|improve this answer edited Mar 13 '14 at 20:11 Lucas Zamboulis 2,24151725 answered Mar 13 '14 at 19:47 mohsen.rmz 14112 This really isn't a good solution as it will delete most (if not all) tables from your database. –tjhorner May 4 '14 at 20:55 This worked for me and my database tables didn't got got deleted. –Hyder B.
