Error 1067 The Process Terminated Unexpectedly Sql Server
2 down vote favorite 1 I am trying to use Squid's (its 2.7STABLE8 version) reverse proxy service on Windows 7. When I try to start squid from "cmd" (as administrator) I get an error message such as; "The Squid service could not be started A system error has occurred System error 1067 has occurred message The process terminated unexpectedly" To solve it I tried: setting "http_port" to 80 and 8080 disabling error 1067 the process terminated unexpectedly vmware user account control settings. and followed the instructions on this website: Configuring a Basic Reverse Proxy in Squid on Windows However, none of the solutions worked. Therefore if there is any other solution you might know it would be great. Thanks reverse-proxy squid share|improve this question asked Mar 15 '13 at 9:21 Ekin 881110 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted I checked my cache.log file, and it was reporting to; "FATAL: ipcache_init: DNS name lookup tests failed" Therefore, in the squid.conf file I set my dns_testname to; "dns_testnames 0.0.0.0" and it solved my problem. share|improve this answer answered Mar 15 '13 at 11:57 Ekin 881110 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Try this to check: squid -k check I had the same issue. share|improve this answer edited Jun 17 '13 at 5:48 slm 5,71084353 answered Jun 17 '13 at 5:28 willer 1 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Just in case it helps someone, I got the same problem and was low disk space. but I need help again. I had everything working on our testbed Windows 2003 platform (for reverse proxy accelerator services), and so when I https://www.mail-archive.com/squid-users@squid-cache.org/msg63314.html go and deploy Squid in the same fashion on the live proxy server, I get the following when trying to start the SQUID service: "Could not start the Squid service on local computer. Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly." I actually received this error when trying to start it on the test server as well, but was able to resolve it error 1067 by upgrading the server to SP2. The live server already has SP2 installed but I installed all outstanding patches on it anyway, just in case - no deal. On both machines I ran the squid -z command to establish the log directory first. I'm really floored by why this is happening though and would GREATLY appreciate anybody's help. We're supposed to error 1067 the be going live with this now and this recurring issue is really raining on the parade! Many thanks as ever.
