I applied all steps (except the windows could not start the sshd service on local computer error 5 firewall one) and all passed succesfully. When I try this command net start sshd I get this error: The SSHD service is starting. The SSHD service could not be started. A system error has occurred. System error 1067 has occurred. The process terminated unexpectedly. What could be the problem? I couldn't find any log file. The Security in Windows' Event Viewer only says: The SSHD service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s). When running in debug mode I get this: -- debug2: load_server_config: filename C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\OpenSSH-Win32\OpenSSH-Win32/sshd_config debug2: parse_server_config: config C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\OpenSSH-Win32\OpenSSH-Win32/sshd_config len 256 debug3: C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\OpenSSH-Win32\OpenSSH-Win32/sshd_config:50 setting AuthorizedKeysFile .ssh/authorized_keys debug3: C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\OpenSSH-Win32\OpenSSH-Win32/sshd_config:115 setting Subsystem sftp /usr/libexec/sftp-server debug3: C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\OpenSSH-Win32\OpenSSH-Win32/sshd_config:123 setting PubkeyAcceptedKeyTypes +ssh-dss,ecdsa-sha2-nistp256 debug1: sshd version OpenSSH_7.1, OpenSSL 1.0.2d 9 Jul 2015 [Build Nov 9 2015 22:18:33] debug3: getpwnam: username [sshd] debug3: getpwnam: system dir [C:\Windows\system32] debug3: getpwnam: shell path [C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe] debug1: _open() returned error, errno [2] debug1: key_load_private: No such file or directory debug1: _open() returned error, errno [2] debug1: key_load_public: No such file or directory Could not load host key: ssh_host_rsa_key debug1: _open() r

start the OpenSSH Server service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The the openssh server service on local computer started and then stopped process terminated unexpectedly."I added the details of the errors I experienced.Solution: The main problem to this issue is /var/empty must be owned by root and not group or world-writable. having multiple cygwin1.dll on your computer and have one of them on the PATH variable.1- In order to fix this issue, you first need to find out which http://superuser.com/questions/1017865/getting-system-error-1067-when-installing-openssh folders/applications might have cygwin1.dll file under it. 2- Check the PATH variable via right click on My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment Variables Under this section, you will find two PATH variables. First one if for the user level (your login) and the second one is for System level (for all users on http://www.techsoar.com/openssh-error-1067the-process-terminated-unexpectedly/ that machine). You should make sure both PATH variables do not include any folder that you found in the first step.Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly Faulting application name: cygrunsrv.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x40826252 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16559, time stamp: 0x4ba9b21e Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00055c11 Faulting process id: 0xd10 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\OpenSSH\bin\cygrunsrv.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dllWindows 7 Detailed message:Fault bucket , type 0 Event Name: APPCRASH Response: Not available Cab Id: 0Problem signature: P1: cygrunsrv.exe P2: 0.0.0.0 P3: 40826252 P4: ntdll.dll P5: 6.1.7600.16559 P6: 4ba9b21e P7: c0000005 P8: 00055c11 P9: P10:Attached files: C:\Windows\Temp\WER4B72.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Windows\Temp\WER4BA1.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml C:\Windows\Temp\WER4C02.tmp.WERDataCollectionFailure.txtThese files may be available here: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_cygrunsrv.exe_22de35eb95b016db589883555d246a6efe89f540_cab_15c74bfeRelated PostsGetting Hardware Info on LinuxStop Google Update SoftwareHow to Tar -EXCLUDE directoriesBrother BrLog Printer Service Errors/WarningsMultiple Session for Remote Desktop on Windows XPPolicy Maker Registry ExtensionTags: opensshLeave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.Recent Posts file_exists(): Unable to find the wrapper https Install Redis 2.2.8 for PHP 5.6 What is the best way to extract MP3 Leng
