What are the names of the services you are dealing with? Double click the service - go to the "Dependencies" tab - Check the service names list under "This service depends on the following system components" and then make sure that all the services listed there are already started. For example, if you're trying to start a service which has dependency on "Windows firewall" service, you need to first make sure Windows firewall service is STARTED. By fcui21 · 9 years ago I'm getting an error when attempting to print or add a printer. The error I am receiving states "Could not start the Print Spooler service on local computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start". I don't know what caused this all of a sudden but I can't do anything with my printer at this moment. I have an HP all in one printer and my operating system is Windows XP. Any insight on how to resolve this problem would be appreciated!
