when i run the mssqlserver service i get -error 193 -ocx1Pls help ThanksVinit Post #169359 hoo-thoo-t Posted Wednesday, March 23, 2005 12:26 PM Right there with Babe Group: General Forum Members Last Login: Wednesday, July 8, 2009 10:17 AM Points: 727, Visits: 19 These both appear to be OS errors, as the corresponding errors in SQL Server have messages that don't seem to apply. I will assume that when you get the error 193 from the mssqlserver service, it fails to execute. If this is true, that is probably why SQL agent won't run. It is dependent on mssqlserver, and cannot run if mssqlserver is not running. Is this a new installation? If so, I'd suggest that you simply reinstall. If not, you may want to research the error 193. Find out what's causing that and fix it, and your agent should start working. Because these seem to be Operating System errors, you may have better luck researching at a Windows site/forum. By fabio.mussi · 9 years ago Hi guys, We have installed a software for Datalogging and Supervisory control on a two node cluster system. After completing the installaition I've begun encountering the following error when running one of the services related to error 1068 sql this datalogging program:"...Error 1068: The dependency service orgroup failed to start."The hardware configuration is the following:- Processore COMPAQ PROLIANT 6400R;- Bios P11 06/18/2000- Agent Version 2.2while the SWs installed are:- Windows 2000 Advanced Server with service pack 4.x;- SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 4.x;- LabVIEW DSC (that's the Datalogging and Supervisory program I've mentioned before); This programs installs also the MSDE and a Database called Citadel. The service that does not start is the one associated with this database. My question is: does Windows 2000 server show some issues related to services related to 3rd party databases, do I need some particular permission in order to work with databases in Windows server OS? Since I have no problem with Windows 2000, what could be the differences between Windows 2000 and Windows 2000 server? Thanks in Advance, Best regards Share Flag This conversation is currently closed to new comments. 2 total posts (Page 1 of 1) + Follow this Discussion · | Thread display: Collapse - | Expand + All Answers Back to Networks Forum 2 total posts (Page 1 of 1) Search Start New Discussion Start New Discussion Create a new d
