Dependencies could include Windows Activation Service, RPC etc. –StuartLC Jan 9 '14 at 15:04 My World Wide Web Publishing Service isn't disabled. I have re-checked it from services.msc –Asad Malik Jan 9 '14 at 15:07 Do you see in the HTTP logs, usually found here: %systemroot%\system32\logfiles\HTTPERR &ndas

Cause During the setup of CCWeb, the following error occurs: Could not start the World Wide Web Publishing Service service on the local computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start The service needs to use Internet Information Service, which has been either disabled or stopped. Resolving the problem From the Start menu, right-click My Computer, and click Manage. In the console tree, expand the Services and Applications node. Click Internet Information Services. The names and states of your Web sites appear in the details pane. In the console tree, expand the Internet Information Services node and any subsequent Web site nodes to see a list of directories and virtual directories for that Web site. Scroll down to the World Wide Web Publishing Service and make sure it is started. Note: For this service to start, you need to verify that its depending services are also started.
