If I try to start a service, such as, Windows Installer, I receive the following: Could not start Windows Installer service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start. I cannot open any properties of any service. I cannot open any events that are logged. If I go to the Application log, multiple Event System error messages are listed, Event ID 4609. I cannot install Malwarebytes or any other program to scan the computer. Under Network Connections, the window is blank. I tried IPCONFIG, and both the ethernet and wireless adapter show 0.0.0.0 I have about run out of options with this laptop. I am about to let the user know that she should backup her important data, and format the hard drive and rebuild the machine. Anyone have any suggestions?
