It starts installing then i get "Error 1305. Error reading the file "C:\.........\counter-strike source shared content.pcf. Please make sure that the files exists and that you can access it." within about 15 mins on CD1. I have tried to install CSS only from the install menu first, but that doesnt work either. I have shut down all my system tray apps, i even tried shutting down all the services as well... no go.... Join Date: Nov 2000 Posts: 129 Half-Life 2 installation error #1305 resolved I have the five CD version of Half-Life mysql error 1305 procedure 2 and kept getting error message #1305 while files were being copied from installation disk #1. I then attempted to install Half-Life 2 on another PC to see if I had a defective disk. http://www.valvetime.net/threads/error-1305-installing-cd1.101641/ After seeing that one of my other computers could get past the first installation disk, I knew that the issue was with my gaming rig. I found an updated firmware version for my Toshiba DVD SD-M1802 drive and upgraded the firmware from 1030 to version 1034. I was then able to install Half-Life 2 without any further issues. Many folks have been complaining about error message #1305 on other http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33798055 web sites and have been returning this game thinking that they had one or more faulty CD's. I believe that the solution to this issue is simply updating the firmware on your CD or DVD drive. It worked for me. mfisher1967 View Public Profile Find More Posts by mfisher1967 mfisher1967's System Specs Jan 5, 2005, 10:52 AM #2 SubCog Radeon Arctic Islands Join Date: Jan 2003 Location: Caketown Posts: 15,849 that's pretty scary that theres at least 1305 different installation errors. __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by OzzieBloke If Half Life 3 came out now, my interest level in the game would be comparable to the effort I went into drawing a parallel between my interest and something else in this post. deskt0p: 3.5ghz fx6300 - Radeon 6850 - 8 gigs memory lapt0p: HP ENVY dv7-7212nr - 3.4 GHz/2.4 GHz core i7 - 8 gigs ram - geforce 650m Just finished: Portal 2, Quantum Conundrum, Sonic Generations Currently playing: Crysis1, UT2k4, Remake Quake riva tnt tnt2 32 meg geforce2mx kyro 2 radeon8500 radeon9600 radeon9800pro radeon x800pro geforce 8800gtx radeon 6850 SubCog View Public Profile Visit SubCog's homepage!
