Advertisement chekkard13 Thread Starter Joined: Feb 13, 2011 Messages: 3 error 1305 setup cannot read file office 2010 a few months ago, my java needed to update. when i tried to update i got: "Error 1305.Error reading from file C:\Users\[me]\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\jre1.6.0_23\jre1.6.0_23.msi. Verify that it exists and that you https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/248263 can access it. [retry] [cancel]" I looked it up on sun's website and it said to uninstall and reinstall. Well, installing gets me the same error... Click on 'Additional tasks' and check 'Remove useless JRE files' and 'Remove startup entry', click 'GO'.
