I have a frustrating problem on my Winsrv 2008 R2 x64 sp1 running IIS 6.1. On this server we run a web application called PBM for Hogia. Which http://forums.iis.net/t/1217534.aspx?Event+ID+1309+Event+Code+3005 is an economy program. The webapp is using ASP.NET 4.0.30319 As I am new at this company, I do now know when this problem started. All I know is that it is a problem. The application log is literally flooded with event id 1309 event code 3005. Error is shown below: Event code: 3005 Event message: An unhandled exception has occurred. Error reading from file. Causes: You may have incorrect user permissions set on the installation target folder. Solution: One possible solution is error 1309 error to make sure you have full permission to the destination folder where your program is being installed. Locate the folder on your installation drive. Right-click the folder and click Properties. On the Security tab make sure your user name is added to the list, or the Users group is present and that Full Control is selected. Click OK and install. Another possible solution for Error 1309 would be to make sure that the path to the source and destination file is not breaking Windows Installer limit 256 character. For example if you are running the product installer from your Desktop, please move it in a folder on C:\ (e.g. C:\adsk).
