I have repackaged both versions using msiexec /a ica32web.msi. I select to create a http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/93817-error-1309-error-reading-from-file/ single windows file. When I complete the repackaging, a new ica32web.msi is created along with a Program Files folder. I copy the new ica32web.msi to D:\Program Files\Citrix\Web Interface\4.5\Clients\ica32 folder (I have also tried it with copying the Program Files folder that gets created to the same folder). When I login to the CAG and get the Web Interface page, I click on the "Click Here To Download The Client" link. The file download window appears and I click Run. Once the installation starts, I get the following error when it tries to copy CPViewUI.dll.Error 1309. Error reading from file: C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\D0HQR1GN\Program Files\Citrix\Resource\ICADIR.007A95A9_2C12_4578_B968_DF42959F26E0\resource\zh-CN\CPViewUI.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.I have tried this with version 10.0 and 10.1 of the web client and receive the same error. I have also tried it with IE6 and IE7 and receive the same error. I am running CAG 4.5.1, AAC 4.5, and PS 4.5.Thanks 1363-93817-646795 Back to top Jacob Elizardo Members #2 Jacob Elizardo 4 posts Posted 06 September 2007 - 09:07

am having a problem with getting quick patches to update all of the files from a quick patch series. I am currently using Express 4.0 SP1. My project has v1.01 as the base which is an upgrade path from v1.00. Version 1.01.0001, 1.01.0002, 1.01.0003, 1.01.0004 are a series of quick patches from 1.01. In version 1.01.0001 I added a new file, in 1.01.0003 I update that file. Now everything works fine if you install all of the quick patches in order or even if you go directly from 1.01 to 1.01.0004. But if you install 1.01.0002 (and probably just 1.01.0001) and skip 1.01.0003, 1.01.0004 will remove the file when installed. I just noticed on trying to reinstall the patch on one of the computers that this error is generated: Error 1309.Error reading from file: C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\{6F7E7774-3D34-4259-B708-75C8EA14A475}\program files\Ezgoes\...\sf_Cutting_profile.rpt. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. Abort Retry Ignore The patch creation log for v1.01.0004 says this about the file: Files differ: 'C:\Documents and Settings\jfoust\My Documents\MySetups\EZGOES-Patch-1-0-1-4\UpdatedImage\.\program files\Ezgoes\.\Crystal Reports\sf_Cutting_profile.rpt', 'C:\Documents and Settings\jfoust\My Documents\MySetups\EZGOES-Patch-1-0-1-3\UpdatedImage\.\program files\Ezgoes\.\Crystal Reports\sf_Cutting_profile.rpt'. Patch API could not create a small patch; using whole upgraded file. Including entire file: 'C:\Documents and Settings\jfoust\My Documents\MySetups\EZGOES-Patch-1-0-1-4\UpdatedImage\.\program files\Ezgoes\.\Crystal Reports\sf_Cutting_profile.rpt'; FTK=sf_Cutting_profile.rpt; temp location=Family00\00487.FLE. Which doesn't seem right, because previous patch logs show the differences between 1, 2 and 3. So this seems like a variation of the problem from before SP1 of not being able to update files added in a previous quick patch. 1.01.0004 also had a problem where another file that had been updated in 1.01.0003 wasn't being updated, so we reincluded it in 1.01.0004 (generating a warning about it not having changed) and then it installed correctly (after uninstalling everything so we could ignore the previous build of 1.01.0004). And on a different issue, I am getting errors at build time about subdirectories not existing when a quick patch tries to compare an updated file in a subdirectory th
