See error log below. Not only did the update fail, but it corrupted my current version and reader would not load due to main dll problem. I had to remove the reader and install version 8, the only other option on the Adobe downloads.By the way, the solution in this article below does not work for Windows 7, but possibly could if someone would update the procedure.http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403915.html[2010-07-14 12:28:21] Adobe ARM 1.4.5.0 logging started.[2010-07-14 12:28:21] Command Line: /PRODUCT:Reader /VERSION:9.0 /MODE:2[2010-07-14 12:28:21] ProductCode: {AC76BA86-7AD7-FFFF-7B44-A91000000001}[2010-07-14 12:28:21] ProductName: Adobe Reader 9.3 MUI[2010-07-14 12:28:21] ProductVersion: 9.3.0[2010-07-14 12:28:21] ProductRegistry: SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\9.0[2010-07-14 12:28:21] ProductInstallDir: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\[2010-07-14 12:28:21] Found CommandLine preference AUTO_DOWNLOAD.[2010-07-14 12:28:55] ArmUpdate record found.[2010-07-14 12:28:55] Newer version ARM Update is not available.[2010-07-14 12:28:55] New file object: AdbeRdrUpd932_all_incr.msp[2010-07-14 12:28:55] New file

I have been trying to uninstall a trial version of Adobe Illustrator CS2 for days. This is the message I get: Error 1321. Installer insufficient priviledges to modify file. C:\programdata\adobe\updater\certs\ullustrator.cer I sure would appreciate help. Solutions I have tried: I. Turned off the UAC – still get error 1321 II. Found the hidden administrator (at least I think I have) - still get error 1321 III. Called Sony who passed me off to Adobe whose lines are impossible to get through on IV. Found supposed solution on Adobe site – still get error 1321 Choose Start > Run. Type %SYSTEMROOT%\system32 Right click on the Macromed folder and select Properties. Select the Security tab. Make certain that Administrators and SYSTEM is listed and permissions for security is set to full control. If Administrators and SYSTEM are not set to full control click "Edit", then click through the UAC elevation prompt and make the necessary changes. Click Advanced. Click Edit... and click through the UAC elevation prompt Check "Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects". Click OK Click the "Owner" tab Click Edit... and then click through the UAC elevation prompt. Select "Administrators". Check on "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects". Click OK. Click OK on the warning that displays. Right click on the Macromed folder and chose Delete. Click Continue, and then click though the UAC elevation prompt I sure hope someone can help . . . I am getting so frustrated. Thanks. Cindy Reports: · Posted 8 years ago Top Lighthouse Posts: 13598 This post has been reported.
