You can work around this issue by removing the incorrect entry. Refer to Document #1225281, "SmartSuite or Organizer installs to an incorrect or external drive," for guidance in removing Registry entries that reference an incorrect drive. NOTE: The entries are established each time a user executes the application. If users have data backed up to an external drive and attempt to launch a file, Windows will write to the Registry keys. This is a function of the Registry and not a design issue in SmartSuite. Answer The download that was used is by default referring to the X drive. When you remove all Registry entries, shortcuts, or menu icons, you still may not be able to uninstall or install the software. You may still receive an error that refers to that drive. Workaround 1: 1. Use a third-party product to remove the program and all Registry entries. 2. Go to Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs and do a refresh. If the program is still there, you should be able to remove it and then do the refresh. 3. Try to install SmartSuite again by running the setup and choosing Custom. You will still see the invalid drive because the installer is trying to install to that drive. Change the drive to the one you really want, usually C. If you turned off that drive, once you turn it back on, you should be able to uninstall or install. NOTE: In some cases, there is no entry in the Registry and using the Control Panel to remove Lotus Organizer or another SmartSuite application is unsuccessful. In these cases, use the following steps: 1. Delete the installation files from your workstation. 2. Recycle the client. 3. Download the product executable files and perform the installation again. Workaround 2: 1. Add an additional drive such as a flash drive to mimic the missing drive. 2. Then try the Control Panel --> Add\Remove Programs function and remove Lotus SmartSuite. 3. Reboot the operating system. You should then be able to install. Workaround 3: In one case, the error

The error can occur when the Citrix server has been configured to hide or redirect system-based folders - when drilling further, the error is actually an MSI error #1327 (invalid drive). In Server 2008 if any system path has been redirected error 1327 invalid (either manually or through third-party applications), Microsoft MSI can no longer identify network mapped drives (MSI will only see local drives). Although I have been unable to find a permanent fix, a work-around is to run the command "subst" which can create a virtual drive mapping to a folder resource on the local/physical drives. An example of the command would be "subst z: c:\dummy" where the Z drive is the drive you wish mapped and c:\dummy is a location on the C drive to mimic a network resource. Once the installation is completed, you should release the mapping with the command "subst /z". For further information, see http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1327-invalid-drive-drive.html (Adobe installations also run into the same MSI bug). Also of note, this same issue can occur on Windows 7 workstations and the fix above also will work well in these instances.
