That it doesn't suggests deeper communication problems with the drive. You should contact Barracudaware tech support for more assistance (unless you have a Dell 8.1 copy, in which case call Dell's Yosemite Backup support line).* Make sure you are erasing in the software (Wizards > Media > Erase).
