Recycle power?Did you use a special driver for your drives?if so, try booting an older kernel.Boot DVD in rescue mode and try to fsck.Maybe you had a drive failure. [i.e.: from master0, master1, slave0 ... to master0, slave0, master1]I re-arranged them to the first order I had

After upgrading to WS 10 the guest hung on boot. I had to restart the guest and upon restart initrd reported the error:Error 16: Inconsistent filesystem structureThe vm was toast. error 16 So I created a new vm within WS10. The install of SLES 11 SP2 went fine, but on reboot the guest hung. It hung so badly that the guest process would not restart and could not be killed. I was forced to power cycle my entire host. Upon restart of the vm, I received the same error: "Inconsistent error 16 inconsistent filesystem structure"The guest is running 3.0.38-0.5The VM is configured with 64 Gb of RAM, 16 processors, and a single 1 Tb virtual disk (not preallocated).WS10 itself is pretty crabby, and it open hangs for a while opening settings, clicking restart, etc.The host is Windows 7 64-bit, 256 Gb RAM, 2 x E5-2670 (16 cores total, 32 CPUs with hyperthreading).Wondering if this is a known issue to VMware or I've got a new problemThanks,Dave 426Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. I would not put any valuable data into a VM like that.Way too much RAM and CPUs while using a growing vmdk on the other side.If you really need the RAM and the CPUs you should also give the VM a preallocated vmdk.A single small error with a growing disk can make the whole disk unreada
