16", followed by a switch number. I'm using an old sprint EVO 4G LTE (which I read is confirmed allowed) phone with clean ESN. My account is well within the ringplus sprint customer care rules and minutes. I've tried resetting the phone, resetting thru ##72786#, etc, and none of them worked. I've double checked the PRL/profile update went thru fine and the phone number was updated to the same given by RingPlus. Interestingly enough, the LTE data worked just fine, just phone call doesn't go thru. I just tried this and left my phone do its thing. After I came back, the phone says "activated" (I think it's from the HTC hands free activation wizard). I was happy that this might work, but its a no go! Seems some sort of reset is needed from the network end (in addition to the reset from my phone end). This will erase all data on the phone and return it to factory reset. Yes, I tried this. Phone said "activated" and PRL/profile update went thru without any error. I verified all kind of #s matched ringplus. However, phone call does NOT go thru. Mobile data worked fine before/after the rest. Sounds like a switching error within the cellular system. What I can think of is to try updating your PRL and Profile and trying again. It also may be that the local switches are having trouble and you can verify this by going elsewhere and / or trying a new number. Ok some weird stuff is going on here. I recently noticed that if I'm not connected to my airave and try to make a phone call I get an error code 16. And my text receiving or out going don't go through and my incoming calls either go straight to voice mail or ring and ring the normal amount until voice mail picks up. Data also don't seem to work. nothing unless its connected to my airave which basically turned my mobile device into a voip wireless land line since I can only use it as far as my airave reach. Other than that its use less even if I am picking up full sprint signal I don't even think it will roam. Can someone please give me an idea of what this is and what might be causing it and how I could fix it without calling in! If possible!?
