I think i can help you------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------First you must backup Entourage contents. So open Entourage, click on the File menu and select Export. Export all items to an Entourage archive. Save the file in a safe place. It will have an .rge extension. Navigate to Macintosh HD/Applications/Microsoft Office 200x/Additional Tools/Remove Office/ Run "Remove Office" and remove office completetly. Then restart your computer. Now, Install Microsoft Office and open Entourage, click the File menu and select Import. Choose the .rge file that you saved earlier.(You must have the Office installation disks)orBefore doing the above suggestion, we can just delete the prederence file and see if that helps. So close all office applications including entourage. Then goto ~/Library/Preferences and trash this file : com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist (Don't empty the trash)If you can't find the file in the above folder then search in here : ~/Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Best Regards,Ashik-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------...If i solved your problem, please kindly click ACCEPT. If i didn't, reply back before Accepting. Bonus and Positive Feedback are greatly apprecia

Quit all Microsoft products on the computer, then launch Entourage while holding down the option key. I suggest doing a typical rebuild, and if that doesn't work try the more thorough one. I've heard that the thorough rebuild can create other issues, but I haven't seen them so I can't tell you what they are. wrote: Michel, I did as the article explained, deleted: com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist However, my error message was no where near what was suggested (see my JPEG attached to my original post). I guess we'll find out next Sunday! I have to wait a whole week!!! Thank you for taking the time to reply. According to the Entourage Help Page, error 16008 can have many different causes, and there are different solutions as well. It only happens on Sunday mornings. I always leave my G3 on 24/7 but set Entourage to WORK OFFLINE when I go to bed nightly. I keep two "schedules": Send/Receive every 5 minutes and Empty Trash once weekly on Friday evenings at 9PM. I have attached a JPEG screenshot of the error. Any clues?
