PM by cjtanker Error 1606 - Adobe Reader Upgrade Fails (Paolo_Ricardo) Feb 19, 2008 6:01 PM I keep getting the dreaded "Error 1606 Could not access network location :." (sic)when I try to upgrade Acrobat Reader I've tried all the fixes i.e. deleting registry refs to Office 8.0 and 9.0, checking User Shell Folders and adobe reader error 1606 Common Administrative Tools (as recommended by Microsoft) but none works. Also I've no idea what location ":." refers to. Apart from disabling Windows Installer (to stop it popping up randomly) I cannot update my Adobe Reader software. Any miracle workers out there?
