Causes: This issue may occur if there is an incorrect setting in one of the following registry subkeys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders This issue can also be caused by remnants of a previous install blocking the new install. Solution: Option 1: Run regedit.exe. Browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders Check for “Name” = Common Documents defined as C:\Users\Public\Documents. If you cannot find Registry key name and data, add the following Registry information under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders Key name: Common DocumentsType: REG_SZData: C:\Users\Public\Documents Option 2: Runregedit.exe.
