I moved the "My Documents" and "Desktop" folders ("personal folders") to an alternate location for better backup managability. I used the Windows "Move Location" functionality to do so.When Adobe Reader tries to run an update, it fails and tells me to run Adobe Repair. So I went to the Windows Control https://forums.adobe.com/thread/622679 Panel, right-clicked on Adobe Reader and chose "Change". I get the following errors:I tried the following three seperate solutions (none worked): 1. Reinstalling Adobe 2. I completely deleted and recreated the "problemed" Windows account 3. Per an Adobe KB article, I created a brand new Windows user account with administrative rights and reinstalled Adobe Reader under that loginIs there no way to move my personal folders without triggering this bug? As you can see, I have spent a lot of time working on this. Can you hear the frustration? Thanks so much!!!Eliezer I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 6325Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 4 replies 1. So that solution won't work...Eliezer Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: "Error 1606: Could not access Network location 0\" pwillener Apr 22, 2010 5:01 PM (in response to E

It then modifies the [INSTALLDIR] or uses the default directory if it cannot find one. This part works fine and it does install correctly, though when it tries to uninstall itself it is displaying the error msg: "Could not access network location 0" at the very start of the uninstall wizard. I have read the KB articles relating to this could not access but they don't seem to help and it is install correctly. Any ideas on how to fix this one would be appreciated... I would also try going through the property values (set in property manager or via custom action) to make sure that nothing is set to 0. I would check the registry to find out where a certain program was install and then build my install path based on that. If that registry entry wasn't there I would get the "network location 0" error. Either the program you're looking at to get the path is no longer on the system or the .dll you're using isn't running during the uninstall. Is this a silent uninstall? Those are the first 2 things I could think of that might cause this problem.
