RESOLUTION In the registry under 'HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders', you will have a key named 'APPDATA'. The value of this key should be something like the following: Pre-Vista: %USERPROFILE%\Application Data Post-Vista: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming If the value you find differs from the above, then modifying the value to match these should resolve this issue.

Downloaded jre-6u26-windows-i586 and am trying to install it. I am receiving a pop up with "Error 1606. Could not access network location %APPDATA%\" and I have to cancel out of the install. Any suggestions??? The only difference from the file you linked to and the one I downloaded before is that new one has a "-s" on the end of the file name. Needless to say I'm still getting the error. Any other ideas?
