Solution or Workaround Warning: The instructions below include making changes to essential parts of your operating system. I have Windows Vista Home Premium. It came already installed. I love/hate it and Bill Gates too, although that last bit isn't really important. Anyway, I have downloaded the trial version of Adobe error 1606 windows Acrobat Professional 8 and am having a devil of a time installing it. I followed the "UNIVERSAL VISTA HELP GUIDE FOR INSTALLS AND CONFIGURATION OF ACROBAT 8 " by Anthony Kraus, and while I did get farther with the installation, I am hung up with the following error: Error 1606 Could not access network location\Startup Well, neither could I. I can't even find it let alone access it! Where is it? What is it? This will eventually drive me crazy if I can't get past it. Is there anyone who can help me? thank you so much in advance.......
