vote Hi, I have 3 sites linked over a VPN tunnel. In one of the remote site DC, I am getting the error "dsbindwithspnex() https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2102154 failed with error 1727" when I run DCDIAG. Basically the remote site DC with the error cannot connect to the FSMO owner in the primary site. The primary site tunnel device is Cyberoam and remote site tunnel device is TMG 2010 (Enforce strict RPC compliance is unchecked https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/1e50cf85-858d-4bbf-ac80-11947417a707/windows-2012-r2-domain-controller-dcdiag-error-dsbindwithspnex-failed-with-error-1727?forum=winserverDS on TMG rule & System policy rule). I only have this one DC in the remote site. A quick search results in solutions such as system restore Any ideas about how to fix the issue. The required RPC port is blocked. I suggest you that you could disable the windows software-based firewall on the remote host and try the deployment again. There is an article about troubleshooting the RPC server is unavailable for your reference. It doesn't matter if I try this while remoted into DC1 or DC2. According to this technet article, this is a problem with a machine being down. However, I can additionally have both domain controllers ping one another just fine so there is no DNS issue nor any connectivity issue. Both are on the same LAN and even on the same subnet, so no VPN/wifi/firewall/quirky issues like that should be a problem. Additionally, I verified that the RPC service is running on both boxes. What could the problem be and how would I fix it? dcdiag results: Directory Server Diagnosis Performing initial setup: Trying to find home server... Home Server = EGDC1 * Identified AD Forest.
