I have successfully created a bootable WinPE disk using AIK. My goal is to deploy Windows XP using CD’s. I figured that I could use the latest deployment techniques using IMAGEX and save https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26907260/Mounting-wim-image-for-maintenance-Error-1812.html some money by not using Ghost. Here is the order of steps that I used to deploy the image: Installed Windows XP on my reference computer with all applications configured and drivers Ran Sysprep on reference computer and sealed the image Used ImageX to capture the image of the reference computer Split the WIM file and burned it onto two separate CD’s Booted with WinPE and ran the command to apply the image http://www.techtalkz.com/windows-deployment/196276-imagex-specified-image-file-did-not-contain-resource-section.html back to the reference computer. The reference computer was not reformatted. I’m thinking it will overwrite what is there. I target the image at the C drive. Imagex /apply D:\test.swm C: /verify The processing of applying the image gets to 100% for the first image and errors out with the following error: [INFO] C:\WINDOWS\ie7\msrating.dll [Resource extract to file. (Seq 10 * resource not found for non-empty file] 9GLE=1812) [ERROR 1812] C:\WINDOWS\ie7\msrating.dll Error restoring image The specified image file did not contain a resource section. Any ideas or expert advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank You .....Michael Sponsored Links 28-11-2007, 12:25 PM #2 gfincher@gmail.com Guest Posts: n/a Re: IMAGEX The specified image file did not contain a resource section Sponsored Links On Jun 13, 3:14*pm, MichaelMCSA wrote: > Hello All, > > I could use some help with a error that I do not know how to make go away.. * > I have successfully created a bootable WinPE disk using AIK.
