It is running on windows XP jaskco, Nov 23, 2012 #1 Sponsor samfisher123 Joined: Nov 23, 2012 Messages: 6 1.connect your hard disk to other cpu (friends or some one) and back up files which are necessary . then install xp freshly with connecting hard disk to other cpu. 2.if your smps is more than 4 years old ,try to replace it as soon as possible . 3.clean the motherboard and ram with soft brush, and connect the hard dive ,make sure that each and every cable is connected properly. if you can remove processor ,remove it and clean with blow and apply pinch of thermal paste and place it,(the paste must be between processor and processor heat sink with fan). its all over ,start your system it will work like a charm. 4.always check weather system meets the game requirements before running games. Riavviando il computer senza il CD1 non mi fa accedere più a Windows ma mi appare una scritta REBOOT AND PRESS NEW KEY. QUindi sono obbligato a riavviarlo con il CD1 altirmenti non mi fa fare più nulla, ma mi compare sempre error 1826 lo stesso messaggio di errore. Ho provato a farlo ripartire con GParted LIVE ma non lo legge e mi appare REEBOOT ecc.. ec.. Sono andato anche nel BIOS per ripristinare le funzioni di default ma mi appare sempre lo stesso messaggio di errore. Per favore, potete aiutarmi?? Power Failure in the neighbourhood caused home electricity down for a minute or so. 3. My laptop's battery is old and only last for less a minute. The battery ran out of juice and forced the laptop to shut down, and the recovery process was interrupted. 4. Power comes back, try to restart the recovery process again. 5. At 10% progress bar, a windows pops out saying "Error #1826, Free Space not selected" 6. From the point, nothing can be done to fix. Previous windows xp system was wiped out at the pre-recovery process. Problem occurs every time I try to restart the process Does anyone has any idea to fix this problem? (I'm hoping not to send it back to ASUS for repair, cause it is out of warranty and it costs money) Thank you for your help and time.
