Somehow, Server A (publisher) is co-mingled with Server B (where the distributor database is)Now, I need to configure transactional replication on Server A but have hit a wall after trying many things.2 points:- Server A and Server B are production servers. I am trying to set up replication between two servers (both running SQL 6.0), without much luck. I have installed replication on the publication server in accordance to the mannual and the MS help sheet Q89937.txt, but whenever I try to 'Enable Publishing To These Servers' (from Server/Rep-Config/Publishing), I get the strange error message: "Error 18482: Unable to connect to the site '0' because '' is not defined as a remote server at the site" Have I missed out a step? When I try to connect from the subscription server, I get the error message: "Error 18483: Unable to connect to site '0' because 'sa' is not defined as a remote login at the site" Also, whenever I shut down Enterprise Manager and start it up again, the option Server/Rep-Config/Publishing is disabled, and I have to select Install Publishing to re-enable it! To me, this suggests Publishing is not installed fully, but I have followed the install routine through to completion several times, and received an 'Installed okay' message at the end!
