Error 1068 Sql Server Agent
Connection using the SQL Server 2008 r2 Native Driver SQL Server > error 193 0xc1 service fails to start SQL Server Data Access Question 0 Sign in to vote I recently had the SQL Server 2008 R2
Mysql Error 193 0xc1
Client installed on my Windows XP laptop. Ever since, when I try to create a new System DSN connection in the ODBC Administrator using the SQL Server 2008 Native windows could not start the sql server on local computer Driver (v10.0 is what shows up in the ODBC Administrator) the process fails with "The setup routines for the SQL Server Native Client 10.0 ODBC Driver could not be loaded due to system error code193". Everything that I've been able to find out about this system error suggests that this problem is caused by an error in the way the error 1068 the dependency service or group failed to start driver was registered when it was installed (that it was registered as 64 bit when it is really the 32 bit version or vice-versa). Is there an easy registry correction that will fix this problem? As the ODBC driver listing is determined by registry keys that are set on installation of the driver, it is likely that the driver installer has a fault which is causing it to be mis-registered with ODBC. Please try to load either a 32 bit driver from the 64 bit version (C:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe) or trying to load a 64 bit driver from the 32 bit version (C:\windows\syswow64\odbcad32.exe). Additional if you build and then run an application as a 32-bit application on a 64-bit operating system, the workaround is try to create the ODBC data source by using the ODBC Administrator tool in
services, the following error message is received: Could not start the %{Service} service on local computer. Error 193:0xc1 Upon further investigation, the following entry is found in the Application logs in Event Viewer: Event ID: 7000 Source: Service Control Manager Type: Error Description: The "Online Backup Scheduler (Mindtime Pro Backup)" service failed to start due to the following error: "Online Backup Scheduler (Mindtime Pro Backup)" is not a valid Win32 application. Note: The issue can also occurs for other Windows services, such as the Online Backup Scheduler (Mindtime PC Backup) service, AutoUpdateAgent (Mindtime PC Backup) service ... etc. Cause This issue occurs when one or both https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/4e484f1c-fad3-48b2-ae7c-8ab583c99db8/error-193-received-when-trying-to-create-an-odbc-connection-using-the-sql-server-2008-r2-native?forum=sqldataaccess of the following conditions is true: There is a file named 'Program' in your SystemDrive folder. There is a file named 'Common' in your ProgramFiles folder. When Windows Service Control Manager (Services.exe) tries to start the Server service, the program verifies the following paths: SystemDrive\Program Program Files\Common If the Program or Common paths exist as files, the Service Control Manager cannot locate the required folders, you will receive the error messages https://www.mindtimebackup.eu/knowledgebase/480307-Cannot-start-the-service-on-local-computer-Error-1930xc1 and event ID messages that are listed in the Problem Description section of this article. This issue can also occurs if the path of the executable file for the service contains spaces. When a service is started by Windows, the operating system first parses the path of the service from left to right. If both of the following conditions are true, Windows may locate and try to run the file or folder before it locates and runs the executable file for the service: The path of a service’s executable file contains spaces. There is a file or folder on your computer’s hard disk that has the same name as a file or folder in the path to the service's executable file. For example, if the path of the executable file for a service is 'C:\Program Files\Mindtime Pro Backup\bin\Scheduler.exe', and if a folder that is named 'C:\Program' also exists on your hard disk, Windows locates the 'C:\Program' folder on your hard disk before the 'C:\Program Files\Mindtime Pro Backup\bin\Scheduler.exe' file, and then tries to run it. For more details, please refer to the following article from Microsoft. Solution To resolve the problem, rename, move, or delete the respective files or folder listed below from the SystemDrive folder and/or the ProgramFiles folder. Common Pro

It's likely that that specific account doesn't have the permissions necessary to create the job. If you've got access to SQL Server Management Studio, you can use the two links to learn more about the permissions needed (inside of the MSDB database) as well as how to check and set those permissions for a specific account.
