'Error 2003: file size does not match FAT allocation for file'. this error is found after i had to power off my PC (due to power cut) when the reallocation of free space in my harddisk. after that when i run disk error check i get the error ('file size does not match FAT allocation for file'). now i am not able to reallocate any free space. pls help me. is my harddisk in danger? I currently have 3 partitions on my HDD: 1.NTSF - Windows XP Primary drive C: 2. FAT32 F: 3.FAT32 G: Now im trying to put both F: and G: back error 2003 together. I formatted F: to fat32 as it has nothing on it, however, drive G: already is FAT 32 and has all my music etc. so its staying how it is. Whenever i try merge them, it starts proces then comes up with the errors "error #2003 File size does not match FAT allocation for file" and another one i thik its #938 Has too many errors. DOes anyone know of ne solutions? It may fix it right there or it might tell you it will fix it upon the next boot. The second error, 938 is probably because of the first one :P.
