Method 1 Grant the cmd.exe program Read and Execute permissions for the user account that the batch job runs under. To do this, follow these steps: Click Start, and then click Windows Explorer. Locate and then right-click the cmd.exe file. The Cmd.exe file is located in the %windir%\System32 folder. Click Properties. Click the Security tab. Click Add. In the Enter the object names to select box, type the user name that the batch job runs under, and then click OK two times. Note When you add the user, the user is automatically granted Read and Execute permissions. 7. Click Yes when you are prompted to continue. Method 2 Grant Read and Execute permissions for the cmd.exe file to the Batch group. This permits all batch processes to run the command processor. To do this, follow these step

Posted on 2014-11-19 Linux MS Legacy OS error 2003 2 Verified Solutions 6 Comments 443 Views Last Modified: 2014-12-31 We have a custoemr that we upgraded their Windows 2003 Server to a Synology NAS server. All business files were stored on the 2003 server and are now copied to the new NAS server. Most everything is working fine. We do have a couple issues one being a DOS batch file (attached: change extention from txt to bat) that they use by copying error 2003 while files in the root of a shared directory on the NAS (S:) (which only has admin rights) and then right clicking on the addfilez.bat file and choosing 'paste'. This runs the batch file. If a admin runs the batch file all runs well, if a user runs the batch file they get a 'access denied' error on the cmd prompt while running the batch file. If I move the files to be copied that the user has rights to the batch file runs as expected ***I guess all this would be expected. The real problem arises when the same user copies the file from another computer on the network that she has admin rights to (and admin rights on the share) and the batch file does not run. Any ideas on what might be going on here? Thanks for you help in advance! I thought they were all set correctly but found more settings later! All si well! I had installed a seperate partition on an XP machine then after a while of using it and running out of space decided to delete it. I now have a drive with 2 gig of space and 28 gig of unallocated space. When I try to either merge or recover the unallocated space I get this error: "error 2003 While executing batch" "error 2003 File size does not match FAT allocation for file" If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it Thanks, Sean SeanGil, #1 2004/05/22 PeteC SuperGeek Staff Joined: 2002/05/10 Messages: 28,495 Likes Received: 351 Trophy Points: 1,093 Location: Staffordshire, UK Computer Experience: Usually not enough Hi SeanGil - Welcome to the Board If in doubt or up the creek without the proverbial - Read the Manual From Partition Magic 7 manual - expect 8 is the same ...... #2003 File size does not match FAT allocation for file.
