If you run into this using URLLoader, listen for the: flash.events.HTTPStatusEvent.HTTP_STATUS and in AIR : flash.events.HTTPStatusEvent.HTTP_RESPONSE_STATUS It should give you some more information (such as the status code being returned from the server). –JulianG Jul 24 '13 at 11:17 add a comment| up vote 10 down vote Just to clarify my comment (it's illegible in a single line) I think the be

It’s actually very simple, but it plagues even experienced developers, so we’ll go in-depth and turn everyone here into IO error ninjas. Step 1: Setting up the Problem Let’s start by setting up some code in a Flash file that produces error 2044. Create a new AS3 Flash file, and enter this code into the Script panel: var loader:Loader = new Loader(); loader.load(new URLRequest("some-non-existant.url")); Go ahead and run the SWF, and you should see this error: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:.

I don't think this error is related to LoaderMax (great product by the way), but I feel that since you guys are the experts in loading assets you might know the answer.Things to point out:- when I change the method type to URLRequestMethod.POST it loads great, but for some reason I can't grab the parameters from the loaded SWF. I'm using this.loaderInfo.parameters["appendPath"] but it's undefined, I think that is only for query string variable? If I knew the way to grab the posted values, I think that would fix my problem.- I have queue.append twice only to show the code.. when I run the code I comment one out, one throws URL not found the other is the Stream Error.- I have modified my Flash Professional CS 5.5 so that I can compile Air for IOS, I did read somewhere something about using debug player that may be causing this, I need to test this app on a different
