Causes: This error appears to occur when the url or file is blocked or not found by HTTPService call. For me, this error appeared when I had typed in the incorrect url in the HTTPService url property. Specifying the correct URL fixed it. To check this you can check your URL for typos or try to access the URL outside of your app to make sure it is there. Use Service Capture, Charles or Firebug to inspect the response from the server. If the file is not found the server still sends a response back (html or xhtml (xml)). Note: Additional tips and use cases are mentioned in the comments. This error is also caused by a swf trying to access a file across a restricted domain. It's not going to get the file if it is not allowed to access it. This behavior then generates the error. The fix in is to add a cross-domain policy file to the domain where the page is located at. The cross-domain file must specify that your domain (or any other domains) can access that URL. You can also use a proxy on your server to get the file (I have heard that there are issues with this approach with caching in cert

When trying to access the application using a vpn connection it is not loading. It shows error 2032. The application uses framework caching. The framework file cross domain error was not loaded at all. The download progress bar was in 0% status. But the application works fine if not in vpn. Anyone experienced the same issue? I got the same issue when i was testing in my local server. There I replaced the swf from the bin_release with the one from bin_debug. It showed "Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: https://localhost:9443/myApp/resources/osmf_flex.4.0.0.13495.swf". It did not take the swz. But tried to load the swf file for the framework. The swf files were not deployed since it is not there in the bin_release folder. When i copied all the swf files for the framework from the bin_debug to the server, it worked. I found a post about this. How do I recompile Flex 4 Framework RSLs? When will flash player look for unsigned RSL? Thanks in advance for the help. When it is loaded, I can see my data, But it shows some error when it tries to refresh the flash object by itself internally. I am using eclipse for development, Tomcat 7 as webserver. And I have placed crossdomain.xml in /Root folder and I am able to display the crossdomain.xml content through web browser by hitting "http://localhost:8080/crossdomain.xml" (Note : 1. Both web service and flash file are running in the same server. 2. This error occurs only before accessing any data from server, once data is accessed the error is not generating anymore) When the flash file tries to refresh itself, It shows the following error. --> To access external data, add a cross-domain policy file to the external data web server. For more information, on the Adobe website, see the article "Cross-domain Policy File Specification". If the problem persists, contact the file creator or your system administrator.
