Forums / Help "Cannot load M3U8: crossdomain access denied" error when playing HLS stream with flash JW Player. MIRACORREDOR PRO 1 year ago We are having some trouble playing Vimeo HLS streams with the flash version of JW Player, we always get the following error: "Cannot load M3U8: crossdomain access denied". We suspect it may have to do with a 301 redirect towards a https URL we are getting after requesting the m3u8 file, which is probably triggering some security policy on the flash plugin and causing the error. But unfortunately we haven't been able to find a solution to the problem yet, save for using the other streams instead (HD, SD and mobile work fine). Can you help us? Thank you! Vínculo: livedemo.bukimedia.es/miracorredor_wordpress/festival-cultura-urbana-torrejon/ Tommy Penner Staff 1 year ago Switching the player and Vimeo URLs to HTTPS should fix this. More info here: Link: stackoverflow.com/questions/30843878/m3u8-playback-issues-with-vimeo-and-jw-player MIRACORREDOR PRO 1 year ago Thanks, I gave it a try and yes, that worked. But I had to switch to https not only the player and the HLS stream URL but also the page where the player is embedded. We weren't planning on migrating our production site to https yet, is there any other workaround that would allow us to keep using unsecured http?
